Parent Education Preschool

Toddler Class (2 years old), Preschool (3 and 4 years old)

This is a fee based program run by the SCUSD Adult Education Department. Parents work in the classroom in collaboration and guidance of the teacher to help children develop a variety of skills. Parents also learn parenting techniques to use in the classroom and at home.

Parent Participation Requirement

The parent/guardian or family member works in the classroom, at minimum, one day per week. Age-appropriate activities are planned and developed by parents with the assistance of the teacher to help children develop skills throughout each milestone.

Parents are also required to attend the once a month parent education classes which meet outside of the preschool component, usually during the evening.

Children may participate every day of their particular class schedule.

Enrollment Information

To attend the Parent Education Preschool programs, children need to be 3 years old and fully potty trained. Children must be 2 years old to attend the Friday toddler class. 

To enroll in the SCUSD Adult Education Parent Education Preschool program, please follow these steps:

1. Download the Parent Education Preschool Enrollment Packet for 2026-2027 and follow the instructions on the first page.

2. Complete the Parent Education Preschool Application online once you have ALL of your documents completed for EACH VOLUNTEER that will be in the classroom. One application per family, but all documents must be received for additional volunteers associated with each family.

Tuition Cost for 2026-2027 (billed August 2026 - May 2027)

 

Non-refundable Annual Enrollment Fee: $100.00 Per Child Enrolled

 

5-day program:  10 equal payments of $450

4-day program:  10 equal payments of $375

1-day program:  10 equal payments of $150

 

Refund Policy

 

No refunds for partial months or missed days. Adults can drop the program in the prior month by emailing adulteducation@scusd.edu and requesting that auto-bill for monthly payments stop.
