41 Week Program

(576 hours classroom theory and 954 practical shop hours = 1530 total hours) 

Next Program Start Dates - VN32 - July 20, 2026 - June 10, 2027

Monday – Friday (in-person classroom) from 8:00 - 4:30pm 

Monday – Friday (in-person clinical) from 6:00 - 2:30pm 

VN 32 Checklist of Requirements - Potential VN Students

Any documents turned into CAJ become property of CAJ, and copies will not be produced or given to students. Please make sure to make copies for yourself before turning in your documents for your VN Student File.

VN 32 Dates and Deadlines:

May 22:             VN potential student files must be completed and submitted by 2 pm. For those who are taking the prerequisite courses here at CAJ in June, your file must still be submitted and meet the requirements by the deadline with the exception of the prerequisite courses. 

June 1 - 15:    Prerequisite courses will be in session if you need them. Enroll in the CAJ Main Office.

June 26:       Commitment letters will be emailed to the accepted students. 

Three days of mandatory orientation dates will be scheduled for July and will be announced to those students that were accepted.

July 20:       VN 32 First Day of Class

Admission Requirements

  • Please follow the Assessment, Advising, Orientation, and Enrollment Process
  • Minimum CASAS Scores Required: Reading 248 and Math 236
  • High School Graduate/High School Equivalency
  • Proof of at least 200 hours providing nursing care under a licensed professional within 2 years of the program starting
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License at time of enrollment and throughout the entire program
  • Pass all prerequisite courses (Math for Medications, Medical Terminology, and Anatomy & Physiology)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Nursing Entrance Exam (Kaplan, C-Net, HESI, or TEAS)
  • Must pass a drug and criminal background check before enrolling into the program
  • Health clearance by physical exam
  • Negative TB test (2 step) or Chest X-ray required before enrolling into the program
  • Successful interview with Director
