Just like the GED, the HiSET is a high school equivalency exam. This test is a great option for those who want to get a certificate of high school equivalency, and they want to get it fast.
The test consists of five sections; math, science, reading, writing, and social studies. At the Charles A. Jones Career and Education Center, we offer the math and science tests on Mondays, and the reading, writing, and social studies tests on Fridays (see schedule for available testing days).
Visit the HiSET website and create an account where you can take free practice tests to see if you are comfortable with the material. If so, print out the “home page” of your account and bring it to our office with a valid, government issued, photo identification, and the payment for the test ($125), and we will schedule your exams.
If you feel you need extra assistance with the material on the practice tests our high school equivalency (HSE) preparation class is the perfect option. Contact our office or see the site calendar for class sign up dates.
