Our Constitution is the oldest written constitution of all of the
world’s nations. Constitution Day commemorates the birth of
our government as well as the ideals that make us Americans. It
is celebrated on or near the seventeenth day of September each
year.
Each educational institution that receives Federal funds for a
fiscal year is required to hold an educational program about the
U.S. Constitution for its students.
