FREE High School Diploma Program
First Class Starts August 18, 2025!

Our high school diploma program will require 160 credits in several subject areas to graduate with a CAJ Diploma.

English – 40 credits

U.S. History – 10 credits

World History/Cultures/Ethnic Studies – 10 credits

Government and Economics – 10 credits

Fine Arts/Foreign Language/CTE – 10 credits

Integrated Math I / Algebra I – 10 credits

Other Math – 10 credits

Life Science – 10 credits

Physical Science – 10 credits

Personal Finance – 5 credits

Electives – 35 credits

FREE English as a Second Language (ESL) & U.S. Citizenship Test Preparation – WASC Accredited
CLASSES FULL but waitlist available in the Main Office

We are currently FULL in our ESL Classes but will be taking new orientation students in the Spring!

English as a Second Language classes are offered at Charles A. Jones Career and Education Center as a tool to help people new to the country attain a better grasp of the English language.  We offer several different levels of ESL instruction and students are placed into the appropriate level according to their assessment scores. Classes are offered both in the morning and the afternoon. 

Program of Study

ABE/High School Equivalency (HSE) Preparation Classes – WASC Accredited
FREE Course to Prepare for the High School Equivalency Exam

HSE Prep is an open-ended lab class for students who wish to take the Official HiSET®  Tests and obtain a high school equivalency certificate.  Study is on an individualized basis, and each student has his/her course tailored to their needs.  Students work at their own pace.

 

 

Morning classes: 8:30 -11:00 A.M.  Monday through Friday

Afternoon classes: 12:30 – 3:00 P.M.  Monday through Friday
